Quench occurs when the body loses more fluid than it takes in. The lack of water throws off the balance of minerals in the body, affecting how its systems function and potentially leading to serious health consequences if left unaddressed. For this reason, it's important to avoid dehydration whenever possible — and if you do become dehydrated, remember that replacing the lost fluids is paramount.
Depending on the severity and cause of your dehydration, drinking water may not be the fastest way to replenish lost fluids. In these cases, IV drips may be used instead of oral rehydration. We know you may not have the energy to take yourself to the doctor's office or wait around in a hospital emergency room when you're suffering from dehydration. That's why we're ready to bring IV fluids to you.
Dehydration occurs when your body doesn’t get enough fluids, and can cause a number of symptoms, including:

  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Lightheadedness
  • Unclear thinking
  • Rapid heart rate

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine recommends the following guidelines for daily fluid intake:

  • Men: 3.7 liters
  • Women: 2.7 liters

The ideal daily fluid intake varies from person to person depending on age, activity level, gender, and whether the individual has any medical conditions. So, if you exercise a lot, have a medical condition, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, you may need to consume more water than the above recommendations. IV hydration fluids ensure that you reach your optimal intake.
